Donna Schaffer Giclée Canvas Prints
These limited-edition artworks are created by fine arts producer, Digital Grange in Petaluma, California. Each print is custom made using the highest quality archival inks and canvas. My canvas prints are varnished too. Schaffer personally inspects then signs and numbers each piece. Because of it’s high quality and relative rarity, a limited-edition giclee is valuable from it’s initial printing. My canvas prints are limited to an edition of 50. For some artists, their giclee prints also become more valuable over time as the artist gains more and more recognition and the edition of the print sells out. While to the untrained eye, the print looks like an original oil painting, it does not have the texture-created nuances of an original oil painting.
First consideration: What size do you want?
Smaller Giclée Canvas Prints, from 11 x14 up to 18×24 in size, are archivally attached to artboard. They required framing.
Larger size canvas pieces are created with a 1 to 3 inch canvas border. This facilitates attachment to wooden stretcher bars. These artworks can be framed or not. The primary advantage is that they can be inexpensively shipped on a roll directly to the client. Most custom framers can easily and affordably attach the canvas to a stretcher bar for you. For example, a large 60×48 giclee print from Donna Schaffer can be produced, rolled, packaged and shipped anywhere in the USA for just under $1000.
